American designed locos run particularly well on DCC. There are numerous manufacturers including Atlas, Athearn, Lifelike, Walthers, Intermountain, Bachmann Spectrum etc. Almost every model has a specific ESU downloadable sound project available all of which are currently being updated to Full Throttle status, you can read about the Full Throttle system by clicking here

American HO diesel models invariably use high quality can motors and have multiple pickup systems which make them ideal for both slow speed running and the addition of sound. We tend to fit at least 2 speakers in parallell to all of these models which reduces the impedance and increases the power output giving extremely good quality sound, a few examples can be seen below
